This version of the Boléro matures the origin of Maurice Ravel's inspiration. It has an Iberian atmosphere, with the bell of a large cathedral under a bright sun, as imagined for this deviant musical composition. It is in a perpetual search for crescendos through instrumental additions that offer us a grandiose musical composition.
The choreographic construction of Kayoko's Bolero is a work on primary energy, on the rhythmic approach and the complexity of accumulating movements in a group. So, depending on the qualities of the male or female performers who come from different dance disciplines, this version allows for an exchange of roles, emotion, pace, while remaining within the fundamentals of Ravel's inspiration.
