Hip-hop dance encompasses a variety of dances inspired by hip-hop culture, performed primarily to hip-hop music. It is known for its rhythmic, free and expressive movements, incorporating styles such as breakdance, locking, popping and house.
These dances are characterised by a pronounced musicality, alternating slow and fast movements, and sharp stops. They draw on martial arts, gymnastics and African and Afro-American traditions, emphasising improvisation and community spirit.
Hip-hop represents an all-encompassing culture that includes music, rap, graffiti, DJing and dance. Hip-hop dance is an urban style that encompasses sub-styles such as popping, locking, house dance, new style, break dance and krump.

PREPARATORY HIP-HOP DANCE : from 8 to 11 years old

HIP-HOP DANCE CYCLE 1 : from 11 to 13 years old
