This programme is designed for children and teenagers who want to learn dance in a more structured cycle, with 3 different complete, intensive and multidisciplinary courses.

Interested in and passionate about dance? Would you like to learn a little more? Would you like to take part in different artistic projects? Do you dream of being a performer?
This programme is offered to students aged 8 to 17, allowing them to progress between courses, with guidance from the academy. It is well supervised and planned, with multiple courses from Monday to Saturday after compulsory school or gymnasium.

Our programmes include classes in jazz/modern jazz, classical, pointe, contemporary, hip-hop, theatre, variations, improvisation, JDA Junior and JDA Pre-Junior, and apprenticeships with Junior Jazz Ballet Montreux, all in a caring and stimulating environment.
The different teachers will guide you, helping you to progress in the different disciplines, from different angles.

Our aims

• Reinforce the aptitudes and skills that students are already developing
• Acquire new cross-disciplinary skills, such as collaboration and communication
• Apply the fundamentals of classical dance to other styles as well, to achieve good technique and placement in all disciplines
• Mastering and combining different artistic styles (jazz, modern jazz, classical, hip-hop, contemporary, theatre, etc.) to enrich your multi-disciplinary skills and meet the needs of today's performing arts world
• Surpassing yourself, aiming high, not fearing failure in order to start again, succeeding, listening to yourself, whatever the result
• Fighting against yourself, not just to be the best, but above all to become better than you were yesterday, with a good competitive spirit and self-confidence.
• Take part in dance competitions (optional from 8 to 17 years old) and as apprentices with the Junior Jazz Ballet Montreux (JDA junior from 11 to 17 years old), learning different variations and creations
• Promote a contemporary vision that goes beyond traditional methods

Annual project

• Demonstration (December)
• Dance assessment (end of November or December)
• Dance video clip from the academy (January or February)

• Participation in the dance competition from age 8 (February/March)
• option to be discussed with the management at the start of the season in relation to the dance competition
• Dance show (June)
• Junior Jazz Ballet Montreux apprentices aged 11 and over (JJBM)
• Personal report at the end of each semester (February and June)
• Interview between parents and management (maximum 1 at the parents' request and 1 at the management's suggestion)

Teaching and artistic team
is made up of dancers and actors who are recognised in the profession, with State Diplomas (DE) for academic dance and a wealth of professional experience in companies, as well as recognised professional guest speakers invited throughout the season to support our Juniors in a caring and stimulating environment.
